Grief counselor, educator and filmmaker Nancee Sobonya will explore the nature of grief and loss using the film The Gifts of Grief. This workshop will aid attendants in identifying the physical, emotional and spiritual effects of grief. It will also highlight the resources that help people through loss, while helping participants to discover the opportunities that loss may reveal.

This free workshop is for professionals (3 CEU’s offered) and the public. It is co-sponsored by Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, the Crisis Center, Iowa City Public Library and The University of Iowa School of Social Work.
